Seated model in a green garment, warmer and more portrait-like in execution than most of the studies. The face receives unusually careful attention here: the eyes, nose and mouth are indicated with small, precise touches, something largely absent from most other model studies. The green garment forms a bright block at the centre of the composition, flanked by an orange-red shawl falling loosely over the shoulder. It is one of the few works in the series in which the identity of the model becomes almost tangible.
