Two models, cream and brown
Two figures on one sheet: on the left a reclining figure in a pale, cream-coloured tone almost fading into the white ground, on the right a seated figure with a firm black contour line and skin in warm brown. Small yellow accents at the hands bring an unexpected vivid note to the composition. The contrast between the fading cream on the left and the firmly outlined brown figure on the right gives the sheet two clearly different registers.
