Two models, blue sketch dark
A blue-sketched figure beside a second, dark and expressively worked-out figure. On the left stands a figure drawn entirely in thin, pale blue pencil lines, without any colour. On the right a much denser, dark figure dominates, with black brushstrokes building up head, arms and torso against a yellow-ochre plane. The contrast between the sparse, blue sketch and the heavy, dark figure gives the sheet a strong polarity.
