The ferry crossing that connects De Woude to the mainland, rendered in muted colours. In the wheelhouse, the ferryman is visible. A car is reduced to a compact red plane, mirrored in the dark water below the quay. Green roofs on either side close off the composition. It is a quiet, earth-toned counterweight to the brighter, more abstract Markervaart canvases — the same place, painted in a stiller key.
