Another version of the Clivia — a different view each time of the same familiar subject. This time the ground is lighter: pale pink and sky blue between the leaves, with ochre and yellow accents letting the light in. The red flowers at the top are looser, almost sketch-like, with thin lines scratched out of the paint. Where the other Clivias are closed and dense, this canvas breathes more — a lighter, more open variation on the same fixed theme.
