A larger canvas from the circulades series, with more room for the composition of the village. The pointed roof lines of the houses stand out against a dark navy-blue sky, while the façades themselves are built up from warm yellow, orange and ochre planes. The larger format gives the composition more air: the shapes of the village stay more recognisable than in the smaller studies, without losing the density of the paint.
