Bather
A bather, captured in a fleeting gouache study. The figure walks into the water in a white bathing suit, with only the shoulders and reddish hair left free of colour. Behind her a broad band of bright blue water stretches to a dark rock formation on the horizon. The watercolour is applied thin and transparent, with pencil lines still visible through the paint — a moment captured before it disappeared again.
