A watercolour impression from along the way, swiftly and directly captured. An orange-yellow excavator or crane with a red hook dominates the centre of the sheet, surrounded by a few small figures in blue helmets at work. The houses in the background are barely more than a pencil line, while the machine itself is the only place where colour is truly applied. It is an impression of a port town or market, seen in passing.
