Another untitled gouache impression from the same series of travel impressions. On the left a rider is sketched on a lying or stumbling horse, with blue and red touches of clothing; on the right stand two figures in yellow hats, perhaps onlookers, beside a tall pole or tent post. The sheet is largely left empty — pencil lines that have only just begun, colour tapped in sparingly over the top. It feels like a moment caught between two events, more a note than a finished scene.
