Lady
A lady, captured in watercolour — glimpsed in passing, quietly rendered. She walks away from the viewer, her reddish hair loose, in a bikini. Behind her lie broad, horizontal bands of blue — sea or sky, left unspecified — that make the figure seem almost to float in an abstract space. The pencil lines beneath the paint remain visible, giving the drawing something provisional, something still in motion.
